In this course presenter talks about the concepts of confidentiality, privilege and privacy, the Florida’s Mediation Confidentiality & Privacy Act introduced in 1974, and reviews court cases related to these concepts. Confidentiality stands at the core of mediation, as it is a necessary and important factor as to maintain a correct mediation process. The importance of confidentiality is apparent within the neutrality of mediation. Presenter discusses Federal developments as well as local developments within the Sunshine State.
