Description
The Family Mediation course is designed to equip students with the strategic judgment, skills and sensitivity needed to help parties build consensus on matters such as child custody, visitation, division of property, spousal support, and child education and support. It explores the fundamentals of a successful mediation process for family with emphasis on issues surrounding marital separation and divorce. Students will learn the basic principles of mediation, confidential and voluntary process, encouraging the parties’ self-determination. Special considerations surrounding domestic violence, spousal or child abuse.
