Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to demonstrate competence in effective listening and communication skills; understand the biology and characteristics of autism; differentiate between various aspects of ABA behavior analysis; complete a functional behavior analysis; identify challenging behaviors; identify and develop appropriate curricula; apply various instructional techniques in the classroom; understand the components of life skills, social skills, and communication skills instruction; and research best practices.

Elder Mediation Continuing Education Credits (16CLE, CME, 14CE)

This recorded Elder Mediation Certificate Course is designed for Continuing Education for mediators, lawyers, and mental health professionals licensed or certified in Florida. Some states may allow for reciprocity. It is a 16-hour live online course intended to develop skills in elder care dispute resolution, both for mediators and non-mediators.

Mediators: Active Roleplay Mediation Scenario (1 CME)(EEO 1 Clock Hr)

This dynamic course offers mediators the opportunity to refine their skills through immersive roleplay exercises. Designed for both novice and experienced mediators, the course emphasizes practical, hands-on experience in a controlled, supportive environment. Through guided roleplays, attendees will practice and enhance their techniques in active listening, effective communication, and conflict resolution. Expert feedback and group discussions will provide valuable insights and strategies for improving mediation performance. This course is ideal for mediators looking to build confidence and proficiency through experiential learning.

Mediators: Advance Mediation Skills and Techniques (6.80 CME) (2 Ethics) (EEO 6 Clocked Hrs)

This advanced course is designed for mediators seeking to enhance their proficiency and effectiveness in managing complex disputes. Participants will delve deeper into sophisticated mediation strategies, including managing high-conflict personalities, addressing power imbalances, and fostering collaborative problem-solving.

The legal Complex: Who Gets the Embryo? (1 CME)

This course explores the complex legal and ethical issues surrounding the disposition of embryos in cases of assisted reproductive technology (ART) through the lens of mediation. Participants will examine the legal framework governing embryo disposition, ethical considerations regarding reproductive autonomy and the rights of potential future children, and the role of mediation in resolving disputes. Through case studies and discussions of recent developments in law and society, participants will gain insight into the evolving landscape of ART and the challenges and opportunities for resolving disputes in a fair and equitable manner.
