Short Course Description
Duration: Self-paced | 2 Clock hours | 2CME | .2 IACET CEU
One of the first steps towards "unbiasing" is education. External research shows that awareness of unconscious bias can lead to reversals in biased outcomes, and understanding the unconscious biases that underlie beliefs may be necessary for changing attitudes.
Everyone has unconscious biases. They live in the recesses of the human brain without us realizing it. These biases are grown in each individual and can greatly influence the day-to-day decisions that are made both at home and at work. Unconscious Bias can impact recruitment, turnover, morale, productivity, and culture in your organization. While Unconscious Bias training is not a final solution to eliminating it from your workplace, it can provide a baseline awareness for your team that complements other actionable steps taken to reduce unconscious bias in the workplace.
Our Unconscious Bias workshop will introduce your participants to the ideas and techniques for defining and understanding different unconscious biases. It will show the effects that these biases have on the culture and the business practices of a company. The workshop will also cover the steps to introduce a successful unconscious bias training program in your organization
