Description
This course is designed to develop and provide student with the knowledge needed to become a mediator. Successful graduates of this course will possess the skills to serve as mediators in assisting disputing parties to resolve disputes. A portion of the course is online and the residential remainder at the university.
Students will be exposed to and learn the history of mediation, an overview of ADR legislation, conflict resolution theory, mediation theory and practice, court processes, mediation processes and techniques, self-awareness, and ethics.
