Description
The Legal Secretary 12-week course introduces students to the paralegal profession. It also benefits experienced secretaries who are interested in improving their skills and working more efficiently within the law office. A practical approach is used to explain paralegals’ roles, skills, and responsibilities.
Students will study such topics as legal terminology; legal process; jurisdiction and venue; ethics; written communications including letters, pleadings, discovery, notices, and motions; filing procedures, legal research; memoranda preparation, and citation format. Successful graduates of this course will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.
